The Intermediate Parent Night, for grades 3,4 and 5, will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017, 6pm-7:30pm. (Snow make up date Thursday, January 19, 2017) Intermediate grade parents and students will actively engage in learning opportunities to help understand the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards in Mathematics and Reading, also known as Common Core Standards. Parents will have the opportunity to attend two sessions:
In the math session, parents will interact with their child to learn the way that their child solves a variety of math problems.
In the reading session, parents and students will learn how to pick “just-right” books and comprehension activities that can be done at home.
**Each child will leave the session with a new book of their choice to take home to reinforce skills they learned in the session.
** 5th grade parents that attend will be entered in a drawing to win preferential seating at the Closing Ceremony!*
