BBES Blood Drive

Our annual blood drive will be on Tuesday, November 21st, 2017 from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the gym. This is a half day students as it is parent conferences. This is an excellent opportunity to help support all the victims of the recent hurricanes which have left so many people in need. Stop in the gym to donate, and help these people in need. BBES Turkey Trot

Our Annual Turkey Trot will take place Tuesday, November 21, 2017. (No rain date) Students will participate in a 25 minute walk- jog outside on the field. DRESS for the cold weather – layers, hat, gloves and sneakers.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Our parent/teacher conferences will be held Monday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Nov. 21. Many teachers will hold conferences during those evenings as well. Some teachers may choose to hold meetings on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Book Fair Wish Lists

The Book Fair is Coming! Help younger students create a wish list for the book fair next week. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to see books that interest your child.

American Education Week Nov. 13 - 15

Next week, we celebrate American Education Week. Our focus day is on Monday, Nov. 13. We invite parents to visit their childrens' classrooms on that day. However, you are welcome to visit any day throughout the week. When you visit you will need to check in and get a visitors pass before visiting your child. We hope you are able to join us throughout the week.

Lost and Found Items

Is your child missing something? Please check out our lost and found items which will be displayed during parent/teacher conferences on November 20th and 21st. After these dates, items which have not been claimed will be donated.

Help Homeless Animals

The BBES Girls on the Run Team needs your help. We are collecting donations for Animal Advocates of Howard County and BARCS. Bring in your donations from November 27th - December 1st. Put the donations in the Pet Donation Box in your grade level pod. Click the links below to see the items most in need.

Superintendent Leardership Chararteristics Survey

The Howard County Board of Education is seeking public input as it moves forward with the process of selecting a permanent superintendent, who will be appointed to a four-year term to commence on July 1, 2018. Community members are invited to submit desired leadership characteristics and priorities by completing a survey. The survey responses will be shared with the Board of Education and will inform the superintendent search process.
